About two months ago, thinks to the rendition:” THE TAMING OF THE SHREW”. It needed some people to help Ms Hadley to make extra tools for the performance, like the model pig, a swarm of flowers … viscerally a vehement mind told me:” it needs help.” So I joined this kind of job spontaneously.

At that time, many people also joined the work, our job was quite “simple”, that was painting the wall, at first most of people thought that was so childish. As the working, it was separated into three steps, because the effect of wood’s texture, when people colored the wood directly, the pigment would penetrate inside the wood. So the first task was to make an extra layer on the wood. I took the brushed which adhered the white color, and painted meticulously. Unluckily I still made the mistake, the pigment was so thick, and as a result it would take for a long time to be dry. Secondly it wasted the pigment and affected the quality of the specimen. When Ms Hadley saw it, she told me:“for painting the wall, it still had some prescriptions, for instance the energy of different degrees as we paint the wall, the surface area between brushes and wall, the fluency of painting will affect the work.” “Using the slim side can help you avoid many troubles.” She finally said. At that time my heart had a bit sense, but not very exquisite … after we finished the painting the extra layer, I need to stop for a while, if the surface was still slimy, doing the second step is inaccessible. For the second step, our tasks were more arduous, we need to use the primary color to concoct other pigment which was more luminous, more fascinating ,so proportion of different color was grossly pivotal. If one of us added on color more or less, all of our work which have done would in vain, so the collaborative working, coordination, discussion between people was very monumental, at this time my heart has been palpitated … the last step was to paint the wall seriously. For this task we need to paint two different colors at the same space, dark brown and green which we must make them border with each other, not combination… for me before brushed the wood, I needed to consider: which direction should I paint, what structure of wall looked more picturesque…although that was merely painting the wood. In fact I deeply felt that was a painstaking working, it not only need you painting techniques, but also need your ingenuity of art even the life… during the last step most of us were much more circumspect, even each brush looked so strenuous… For painting the eight pieces of wood, it took us more than two hours.

After the working, we needed to clean the plates, brushes, and the buckets just in this moment I found a trivial thing: after the painting, thinks of the hassle some people escaped secretly.” Truly I also want to leave, the weather was grossly frigid, but I forced myself to stay here, shortly after Ms arrived here and gave rest of us some chocolate for rewards, she proved our working time, and took photos with us, for some people who has escaped, lost the chance…
Through the whole process of working, I seemed learn a lesson, for my future when I wanted to apply some jobs, we must not underestimate any of things. Some things look so negligible, but it involves much more contents than what it looks like probably that is the microcosm of the crucial thing! Furthermore , patience is also very important, although that is merely a piece of chocolate, personally in my mind it told me, when people were doing the common things, which all of us can do, in this case, who is more astute, more patient , who will be the real winner…

Besides the painting, I also helped Ms Bartell to do some extra-curricular work. That was help her check the final test, make the seating list of 10-C and search some attractive information which need to be putted in toilet, for the last two jobs, I was troubled deeply. For making the seating list I was none other than be failed for two times! It looked very simple; just adjust the name in suitable position. This job needs applicants’ patience and care. for the last thing , I felt that was the metaphor of the composition. For searching the funny information, quite of people did it, that was “ freewheeling” working : “ using the scissors to take pictures, articles and made a collage at the big paper…” the only difference was some people’ working was quite endearing, but some were snubbed, the reason was the content of the collages, some collages’ pictures were disproportionate to their words, and vice versa. Some collages’ words was in right proportion with their pictures, but still did not get the welcome, because the topic was so boring, like a kind of cliché, something meretricious. For dealing with these work, I tried to figure out what is mainstream’s flavor. What’s topic was more prevalent among us. At that time I became a merchant who was making the advertisement, who wants to gauge what other people think…Exactly in our life, there are lots of trivial things, but if we treat them seriously, you would find that was not mediocre any more…
